From intimate gigs with nothing but one voice and a piano to full on rock sets Gorman are already garnering acclaim for their powerful sound. Often likened to the work of Tom McRae, Radiohead, or even Jeff Buckley, it's no wonder that their music can grip you by throat one minute, and move you to tears the next.
Make no mistake however; this is fresh, with melodies and lyrics that will stay with you for a long time.
Debut album "Kairos" (pron. kye-ross) is on general release now.
kairos - a moment of opportunity; an indeterminate period of time in which something special occurs
"quality stuff" - Jim Gellatly, BBC Radio Scotland
"sound like they should be filling stadiums already" - Martin Bate, XFM Scotland
"tender and heartfelt... the album has the perkiness of pre-stadium Coldplay... You Know Nothing is a stunning start" - Rick Fulton, Daily Record
"powerful and emotional" - Grant Mason, Three from Leith
"amazing voice, and piano hooks Tori Amos would be proud of" - Fraser Thomson, West FM
"dark and powerful...Glasgow's music scene has always produced amazing talent...Gorman is the latest example" - PRS New Music
Todays upload I nearly didn't share with you as it is very personal. You
have seen my posts about Alabama and this was the ultimate personal
pilgrimage to honour Tom Hendrix's great great grandmother. A journey I
connected with from afar and one I am so blessed to have finally made.
Singing to this 86 year old stone talker, I was overcome with emotion.
This is for me the reason I love music. Never let the legends fade
people NEVER ❤
