guests on Sam Moore's upcoming album 'Overnight Sensational'...
Overnight Sensational
Superstars such as Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Mariah Carey and Eric Clapton are among the contributors to soul legend Sam Moore's upcoming album, "Overnight Sensational." The Rhino set was originally expected this spring but was bumped to Aug. 29 to accommodate Moore's performances at several recent festivals.
The album was produced by "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson. It will be Moore's first contemporary solo project, following 2002's "Plenty Good Lovin'," which was originally intended for release in 1970 but was shelved for more than three decades.
Springsteen joins Moore on "Better To Have and Not Need," while Bad Company/Free's Paul Rodgers guests on the Garth Brooks-penned "We Shall Be Free." Carey and Vince Gill both appear with Moore on "It's Only Make Believe," while Sting and Sheila E enliven "None of Us Are Free."
"Overnight Sensational" also features the final recordings from keyboardist Billy Preston, who died last month after a long illness. Preston plays Hammond B-3 organ on "I Can't Stand the Rain" featuring Wynonna, Bekka Bramlett and Bebe Winans and "You Are So Beautiful," which boasts Clapton, Zucchero and Robert Randolph.

Carew Rock tickets now on sale
Tickets are on sale for Carew Rock priced at ｣20 in advance from Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.co.uk or on 0871 230 2625. Tickets will also be available at the gate on the day at ｣25.
Three of the world's most successful rock stars will be rocking for the RNLI on 5 August 2006 at Carew Rock, a concert for 10,000 people to be staged at Carew Airfield in Pembrokeshire. Following the concert the organisers will make a donation to the Lifeboats towards the appeal for a ｣2.5million Tamar boat for Angle lifeboat station.
Kenney Jones, rated as one of the world's greatest drummers and former member of the Small Faces, Rod Stewart and The Faces, and The Who, heads up the Jones Gang who will headline Carew Rock. Kenney will be joined by his band-mates Robert Hart, former lead singer with Bad Company, and bass player Rick Wills, former member of one of the world's biggest album selling bands Foreigner and ex-member of Peter Frampton's Camel.
Following a press conference to announce the concert, the three stars were treated to a tour of the first Tamar lifeboat to go on service in the United Kingdom, which is stationed at Tenby.
Also taking part in the concert is international star Paul Young with his new band Los Pacaminos. Another named band and three other support bands will be announced very soon and special guest stars that will take to the stage during the evening will be announced over the coming weeks.
The concert begins at 3pm from a giant outdoor stage with video screens and runs until midnight. In an adjoining field, next to the concert arena, there will be beer tents, a variety of different hot and cold foods and at least fifty stalls selling clothes, jewellery and crafts. There will also be a small fun fair.
The Jones Gang, who have recently had big success in America with a number one hit single with the rock ballad 'Angel' from their album 'Any Day Now', have never played in Wales before.
The promoters of the concert say
糎elsh rock fans are in for a real treat! Fans of Kenney Jones either from his days with the Small Faces, Rod Stewart and The Faces, or The Who will not be disappointed on the night. The Jones Gang set includes a mix of original new album material, and some great classic numbers from Kenney's three previous world-famous bands.
糎e want everyone to come to 'Carew Rock' and have a great summer day out with friends or family, and enjoy some truly great international rock music.

Rodgers, fresh from his sell-out tour as front man for Queen in the tour aptly titled 轍ueen + Paul Rodgers, performs in Spokane, Saturday night, July 29, in one of only seven USA performances. The concert is included in the price of admission to the OCC event.

Fiery Scottish vocalist Frankie Miller is one of the legends of the British music scene, with a powerful voice that has drawn numerous comparisons. His distinctive voice and song writing ability have earned him the respect of his peers and that is reflected in the number of world-renowned artists, including Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, Etta James, Cher, The Everly Brothers and Ray Charles, who have covered his songs.
Frankie enjoyed a full career that took him round the globe and saw him sing and write for the very best in the music biz and score hits in the States with songs like 鄭in稚 Got No Money and co write the rock ballad anthem 鉄till In Love with You for Thin Lizzy.
Sadly due to ill health Frankie can no longer tour, but a special 30th anniversary tour has been put together by guitarist Ray Minhinnett, a fellow band member in 1976痴 Full House Band, to try and raise funds to help Frankie with his rehabilitation
Back in 1976 Frankie had returned to the UK after recording on Alkatraz Island in San Francisco to put together his new 擢ull House. The result was a year of hard graft on the road beginning with a 50 date UK tour, kicking off in May 1976 and finishing with a triumphant show at London痴 Victoria Palace on 27th June. Frankie had featured Ray Imminent on lead guitar and recordings for the Full House album began in November 1976 and combined Miller originals with choice covers including John Lennon痴 笛ealous Guy which Frankie sings with great feeling and a first ever UK chart single - Andy Fraser痴 釘e Good to Yourself.
This special all star 30th Anniversary show recalls the highlights of that tour and album, and of course the very best of Frankie Miller, one of Scotland痴 greatest ever rock and blues vocalists. |

My name is Spencer Durham. I am 17 years old, and I live in Dahlonega Ga.
I've been playing gigs all over the country for the past 2 years. I have toured with Craig Collins and Kurt Thomas out in Texas and I have opened for country star Sara Evans. I released my first cd, "I Wonder Why", last year and it is on sale at many stores In the North Georgia area. In October I placed 2nd in the acoustic devision and top four out of 128 acts at the Open Mic Madness competition at Smiths Olde Bar. Also, I placed 3rd runner up at the Open Mic Atlanta Songwriters Competition with my song "I Wonder Why." I am an independent musician and I pay for all my equiptment and production costs by gig pay, cd sales and fan support. I do support the burning and trading of my cds and live shows, but I ask that my fans come to my shows and support my music

John Mcknight
was born in Altoona Pennsylvania in 1965. At the tender age of 7 he started taking drum lessons, at 15 he was playing 3 to 4 nights a week on a local level. In 10th grade John spent the summer touring with The Vicksburgs headlining shows and opening for Merle Haggard, Little Jimmy Dickens, and Buck Trent. After high school John put a band together and hit the hotel circuit. After years of playing the northeast, and many different business ventures, John decided to move to Atlanta. Within months of relocating he was playing and recording with some of Atlanta's finest.
He has played and sang on over 33 cd's including artist like Bob Margolin, Floyd Miles, Forrest McDonald (Bob Seger), George McCorkle ( Marshall Tucker), Delta Moon, E.G. Kight, Dr. Dan Matrazzo, Fiona Boyes, Dangerous Dan Toler (Allman Bros. Great Southern), Mike Martin, Jimmy Herring and many more. John has been mentioned and interviewed by Big City Blues, Blues Review, Atlanta's Creative Loafing and King Biscuit Blues Magazines. He has made several appearances on Good Day Atlanta and Peachtree Morning as well as blues specials on Comcast.
In 2003 John was with Delta Moon when they won the international blues challenge in Memphis, beating out 62 bands from around the world He has performed at some of the largest blues festivals in the country, such as the King Biscuit Blues Fest. in Arkansas. The Riverbend Fest. in Chattanooga, The Riverwalk Jazz and Blues Fest in Ft. Lauderdale, as well as the Montreal Jazz festival in Canada. At the Backporch Blues Festival in Marietta Ga, John performed with 9 bands throughout the day penning him The Marathon Man. John is also a strong soulful singer and songwriter. Currently John is touring with TGZ, the Mike Martin Band and The Renegades of Southern Rock.

RELAY RAISES 1.23 MILLION DOLLARS
FOR DISABLED CHILDREN
Dear Paul,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for your donation to the 24 Hour Relay. With your help the Relay raised $1.23 million dollars for disabled children in BC. This money will allow 900 children with disabilties to attend one of 3 special summer camps for one week free of charge! What a wonderful thing to do for a child!!
As a team, our team (Back in Action-Team Chiropractic), won a plague for top fundraising in out catagory (Health/Medical). Nineteen members of our team raised $7000.00 for the Relay! Our team has also been in the Relay for 19 years and this year we were awarded another plaque for reaching the $100,000 mark for donations.
