First of all I want to thank Lucy for once again creating a fantastic website for Myspace. She has been a source of support and encouragement for me for a long time and my debt to her grows with each year.
I am going to sell my songs through this site. I am in the process of tying up the legal aspects and then will post them for you. I have amassed quite a few over the years and they come in all styles.
People who saw me a few months ago will have heard a cross section ranging from rock through country and pop but I am also posting a few songs, which I wrote with a terrific composer named Johnny Rose. They are kind of hard to categorize and are a departure from my normal songs but I love them.
We wrapped up another Fantasy Camp in London. We all got to play and record at Abbey Road Studios where most of the Beatles albums were made. What a thrill to record in the same studio where Sergeant Pepper was laid down ..
And a great addition to the camp was none other than Mick Ralphs it was such a pleasure to see my old mate again he was playing so well and everyone loved him would love to work with him again,
I will be teaching at camps in New York at the end of August, Las Vegas in October and Washington DC at the end of the year.
Would like to hear some suggestions as to who you would like to see on my instructional DVDs some favourite artists whose songs you would like in your own repertoire.
Hope to see you all soon
It has been ten years since Stowmarkets very own record label was formed by entrepreneur Peter Purnell, following an inspirational lunch with Gillans big bald bassist, John McCoy.
Angel Air (so named by Peters wife and business partner Shirley), set out from day one to offer the customer excellent value and the musicians, writers and artists, decent treatment, fair royalties and major control over the finished product.
This happy balance has seen the label thrive and borne witness to a queue of musicians hoping to see their works released through the label (though they have to be over forty to get into this club!)
Angel Air has earned itself a deserved reputation as the Indiana Jones of the music world, rescuing classic albums from a bygone era, dusting them off and releasing them with copious sleeve notes and a wealth of bonus tracks.
Often however, the label can be found releasing recordings that have never seen the light of day, including delightful demos and lost live sessions, to the delirium of life long fans.
With over 250 releases under their belt, Angel Air can boast a roster that includes such diverse acts as Mott The Hoople, Stackridge, Gillan, Maggie Bell, Freedom, GoWest, Mike Hurst, Medicine Head and Atomic Rooster.
Angel Air is Ten tells the story of the label, explores the Angel Air philosophy and carries a biography (and reviews) of each and every release from the past ten years.
Paul Rodgers tribute to Muddy Waters is not a return to Waters electric Chicago blues, but a continuation of the blues-rock of Rodgers old bands, Free and Bad Company Taken on those terms, Muddy Water Blues: A Tribute to Muddy Waters works only when Rodgers is matched with a good blues-rock guitarist. Jeff Beck Buddy Guy and Gary Moore all play well, while Richie Sambora Neal Schon and Trevor Rabin all sound a bit lost; the rest, including David Gilmour and Brian May fall somewhere in between. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

Already nine songs into their first studio album together, Paul Rodgers and Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor are collaborating so well, they anticipate having the CD out in stores "probably next year, the way things are going," according to Rodgers, with a tour to follow.
"With Queen and myself, it's a very organic thing," Rodgers told Billboard.com. "We're letting it sort of develop itself naturally and not pushing it or giving it any pressure. We go in, just the three of us. Rogers gets on the kit, Brian gets on the guitar, I get on the acoustic guitar and piano, either/or, and then we share the bass line afterwards... I can hear the song line and then (May) can hear all the harmonies on top of it. We can't hear them, but when we go out in the studio, he tell us what line we should sing. He knows exactly what he's doing and we don't know what it's going to sound like, but when we go back into the studio and the engineer puts everything up we all go, 'Holy smokes, listen to that!'So that's the genius of harmonies."
While Queen's earlier work was classically influenced, Rodgers -- whose work with legendary outfit Bad Company leaned towards bluesy rock -- says, "My own approach, of course is more of a bluesy thing. If you add those two together it makes something else, something brand new."
Queen & Paul Rodgers released a live album and DVD, called Return of the Champions, in 2006. Rodgers' solo CD/DVD Live In Glasgow was released in 2007 and he is currently touring with his own band.
Queen & Paul Rodgers plan to return to the studio in October to complete the album.

indelible ( n-d l -b l) adj. 1. Making a mark not easily erased or washed away. 2. Unable to be forgotten; memorable
Indelible: remember this word. It'll pretty much describe the end result of SUPERSTACK music on any listener who is swept into their slipstream. It WILL leave grooves and songs in your mind not easily erased or washed away. Trust me, I've had too many of these stuck in my head since first hearing them to tell you its gonna go down any other way.
The Sudbury-bred, Southern-fed sound of SUPERSTACK verges on a force of nature - powerful, organic, captivating, relentless. Lead singer and guitarist Scott Donnelly, drummer Brian Lahaie, and bassist Greg Mihajic have grabbed the essence of 70's soul rock by the throat and breathed new life into it with 12 tracks of potent new juice that'll shoot straight up your spine and wiggle its way down again. Conjure up a musical love child of James Brown, Humble Pie, Grand Funk Railroad, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The James Gang, and youll be on the right track. The album was produced by the band and recorded in home studios in Toronto and Barrie, ON. Two live-off-the-floor cuts were tracked at the renowned Phase One Studios in Markham by senior Phase engineer Michael Jack (The Trews, Big Sugar, Rush, Bono, Nelly Furtado), who also mixed the entire album.
The SUPERSTACK principle: groove is king, whether its Brian's freight train drum intro on Here I Am (Ready To Groove) or Greg's ballsy bass dropping it in on Kick It On Down. The rhythm section is thunder with Scott the inevitable lightning, unleashing a spectacular, soulful vocal assault on each song as if this just might be the last time you'll hear him sing. Like the firebird tattooed on his arm, with his trademark Gibson Firebird in his hands Scott is a fiery supernova, blasting out searing guitar leads that leave no man, woman, or child unscathed.
SUPERSTACK is beauty and the beast, finesse and flame, dualities that are embodied in so many great rock bands. Watch for a live show in your area, SUPERSTACK has indelibly arrived!

Todays upload I nearly didn't share with you as it is very personal. You
have seen my posts about Alabama and this was the ultimate personal
pilgrimage to honour Tom Hendrix's great great grandmother. A journey I
connected with from afar and one I am so blessed to have finally made.
Singing to this 86 year old stone talker, I was overcome with emotion.
This is for me the reason I love music. Never let the legends fade
people NEVER ❤
